My name is Benjamin Vanhook and I am a native to Franklin, North Carolina.  As I have grown up here, I have seen many changes in my hometown. Franklin has evolved from a small town to a town that is now exploding with economic growth while retaining the small hometown feel of a tightly knit community.  Hard work and dedication have always been a part of my life.  I attended Franklin High School, graduating with a 4.1 GPA, while playing three sports.  I earned all-conference in football, and was privileged to be part of the only 3A Baseball State Championship team in Franklin High School history.  After graduating, I continued my education and sports career at Piedmont College, eventually transferring to Western Carolina University.  There I received a B.S. degree in Secondary Math Education and graduated cum laude.  I look forward to applying my hard work ethic and dedication to your real estate goals.

I am a Graham County, North Carolina native and I'm very passionate about the area that I have always called home. If you're looking for mountain serenity, breathtaking landscapes, and good old friendly folk, then look no further.
I have a loving husband and two small boys, whom I work very hard for. We enjoy our time as a family involved in all that Graham County has to offer. I am a retired school teacher. I taught in the elementary grades for almost 30 years. I retired a little early to  provide childcare for my two grand babies. One is now in first grade, and the youngest goes to preschool 3 mornings each week. My son owns Mountain Pro and I am starting a new career with him! I have always loved learning! Learning under my son is a new concept, but he is an excellent teacher and I am up for the challenge!

My husband, Tom and I retired to Franklin in 2009. After a while we realized that retirement was not for us at this time in our lives, so we entered the world of real estate and we are loving it.  Being able to help someone find a home is very fulfilling, and we meet so many lovely people. 

I moved to Franklin about 11 years ago from Florida. I am married with two boys.  I absolutely love the beautiful mountains and the people of Franklin. You can not ask for a better place to live and work. I have been working for Mountain Pro for a little over a year now as an office manager making me very familiar with all aspects of real estate. I am excited that I have become a broker and I look forward to working with you soon. 

I am a native of Franklin and I feel very blessed to live, work and raise my children in the spectacular mountains of Western North Carolina. My most important job is being a mother to two beautiful and active children, and that keeps me very busy. Since completing my MS in Communication Disorders in 2003, I have worked as a speech-language pathologist for the Macon Co School system and I have provided private therapy services for Communication Therapies, Inc. As a result, I have an extensive knowledge of educational and therapeutic resources in the area. My future plan includes continued work in the field of therapy and education while pursuing success and building relationships in the real estate arena. I enjoy working with family and friends at Mountain Pro Real Estate, and I look forward to meeting a variety of new friends and clients.
